Our Mission.......
The mission of the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center is to provide a place for adults 55 and older to gather for recreational, educational and social activities and to alleviate isolation and loneliness among the elderly.
The center offers over 60 programs in arts & crafts, music, exercise & wellness, social games & activities, education, daily nutritious lunch and special events and services. Annual membership is only $30.
 The center offers many volunteer opportunities as well. From teaching, to cooking, to office help and special events, there is something for everyone at your Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center. Scheduled Events and News

The center offers over 100 classes for its members.  Here’s what’s new:

The Dixie Dulcimer Club – Members bring your instrument on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 9:30 am. Leader: Gloria Kirkland.

A Wood Carving Club – Members will bring your own tools and join the club on the first Friday of every month at 1:30. Leader: Henry Baird

Chair Yoga – For those who have difficulty getting down on the floor, now there is an afternoon class just for you! On Wednesdays at 2 pm, Certified Instructor, Deborah Walter will lead you through relaxing and rejuvenating yoga practices.

Tai Chi – is offered on Wednesdays at 1 pm. The ancient practice for mental and physical well-being is taught by certified Instructor, Deborah Walter.

The annual membership drive at the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center begins July 1.  Dues are just $30 per year and most programs are no or low cost. The Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center is located at 2034 N. Mt. Juliet Rd.

Pig-Stravaganza  - Mt. Juliet’s most Unique fundraiser returns for the third year! 
Mark your calendars for Friday, August 8 from 6 – 8 pm at the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center. A delicious pork dinner will be catered by Bar B Cutie and will include: A BBQ Pork Sandwich, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Chips, Dessert and Beverage. Over 50 items will be on display for the Silent Auction. The Super Silent Auction will include, entertainment packages, jewelry, art, car care packages, sports items, home décor, handmade items, and lot’s more.
You will enjoy music, great food and an awesome silent auction! The grand finale is amazing “Pig-Calling Contest” with celebrity judges; Judge John Gwin, Judge Andy Wright, Judge Clara Byrd, Mayors Ed Hagerty and Randall Hutto. Participants will sign up for the contest that evening. The esteemed winner will be awarded the prize of “Penelope” the ceramic pig…a real beauty!
Tickets are just $15 in advance and $20 at the door.  The price includes dinner, and the event. You must be 18 to attend. Proceeds benefit the Mt. Juliet Senior Activity Center and its mission to provide a place for older adults aged 55+ to gather for social, educational and recreational programs and to alleviate isolation and loneliness among the elderly.
